By downloading, installing, or using Structor ("the App"), developed by Obelisk Agency ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. App Description
Structor is a construction calculator for Android that provides over 65 engineering calculators across eight trade categories:
- Concrete & Masonry — volume, rebar, bricks, mortar, grout, pavers, foundations
- Framing & Carpentry — studs, rafters, staircases, joists, lumber, fences
- Roofing — area, shingles, metal panels, gutters, flashing
- Plumbing & HVAC — pipe flow, BTU load, water heaters, drains, ducts
- Electrical — wire gauge, voltage drop, conduit fill, circuit breakers, solar
- Painting & Finishing — coverage, drywall, tile, wallpaper, flooring, trim
- Earthwork & Landscaping — excavation, fill, mulch, pools, retaining walls
- General Tools — unit conversion, area, volume, slopes, GPS distance
All calculators work fully offline and support both metric and imperial unit systems.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Android devices you own or control, for personal or commercial construction estimation purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App name, logo, or branding without written permission
- Use automated tools to extract data or calculations from the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
4. Engineering Disclaimer
Important: Please read this section carefully.
Structor is an estimation and reference tool only. All calculations are approximations based on standard industry formulas and reference tables.
— Structural calculations (joist spans, rebar, beam sizing, staircase dimensions) must not be used as the sole basis for construction decisions.
— Electrical calculations (wire gauge, voltage drop, conduit fill, circuit breakers) are estimates and do not replace licensed electrical design.
— Code compliance indicators reflect the building code you have selected and may not capture local amendments or recent updates.
— Default dimensions, material sizes, and bag weights are representative industry standards and may not match your local suppliers.
All construction work that affects structural integrity, electrical safety, plumbing, or life safety must be designed and verified by a licensed professional in accordance with your local building codes (such as IBC, IRC, NEC, Eurocode, BS 7671, AS/NZS 3000, IS 732, or the applicable national standard).
5. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Verifying all calculation results with a qualified professional before construction use
- Ensuring compliance with your local building codes and regulations
- Selecting the correct unit system, building code, and material standards for your region
- Entering accurate input values and verifying output values for reasonableness
- Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws
- Any consequences resulting from your use of the App's output
6. No Professional Advice
The App does not provide engineering, legal, financial, or professional advice. The calculations, tooltips, code references, and recommendations within the App are for informational purposes only. Always consult a licensed structural engineer, electrician, plumber, architect, or other qualified professional for advice specific to your project.
7. Advertising and In-App Purchases
The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, including a banner anchored to the bottom of result screens and a single interstitial shown shortly after launch (suppressed during the first 48 hours after install). Advertisement content is determined by Google and is not controlled by us. By using the App, you agree to Google's advertising terms. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of displayed advertisements.
The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, "Remove Ads", processed through Google Play Billing. After a successful purchase, all advertising is permanently disabled on devices linked to your Google account for that purchase. The "Remove Ads" purchase is non-refundable except as required by Google Play's standard refund policy and applicable law.
8. Third-Party Components
The App uses third-party libraries and components (including Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, Android Jetpack, Hilt, Room, DataStore, and others) subject to their respective licenses.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
— Warranties of merchantability
— Fitness for a particular purpose
— Non-infringement
— Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of calculation results
— Compliance with any specific building code or industry standard
— Uninterrupted or error-free operation
We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, produce results free of error, or be suitable for any particular construction project.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We shall not be liable for any construction failures, structural defects, code violations, personal injury, property damage, or financial loss arising from use of the App's calculations
- We shall not be liable for any loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits
- Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (zero for the free version)
- These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain damages. In such cases, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Obelisk Agency, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App or its calculations
- Your violation of these Terms
- Any construction defect, code violation, injury, or loss related to your use of the App
- Any third-party claim related to your use of the App
12. Updates
We may update the App at any time without prior notice. Updates may add, modify, or remove calculators, change formulas, or correct errors. We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or maintenance.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms. Upon termination, your license is immediately revoked.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary. Remaining provisions remain in full force.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Obelisk Agency regarding the App.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Romania.
