- Retrieves product information from third-party databases when online
- Stores scan history locally on your device
- Offers optional Google Drive backup with your authorization
4. User Responsibilities
When using the app, you agree to:
- Use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Verify the accuracy of scanned information independently, especially for critical or financial decisions
- Take responsibility for the security of your device and any data stored within the app
- Not rely solely on the app's security analysis for safety-critical decisions
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive for accuracy in QR code scanning and security analysis, we do not guarantee that:
- The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
- All scanned information will be 100% accurate
- Security analysis will detect all potential threats
- Product information from third-party APIs will be complete or accurate
You use the app at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Obelisk Agency shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the app, including but not limited to:
- Damages from malicious QR codes or barcodes
- Incorrect scan interpretations or missed security threats
- Data loss or corruption
- Actions taken based on scanned content or security analysis
- Third-party product information inaccuracies
7. In-App Purchases
The app offers optional premium features through in-app purchases processed by Google Play. All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms of service. Refund requests should be directed to Google Play support.
8. Advertisements
The free version of the app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These ads are subject to Google's advertising policies. You may remove advertisements by purchasing the premium version.
9. Third-Party Services and Data
The app retrieves product information from third-party open databases including Open Food Facts, Open Pet Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, Open Products Facts, and Google Books. This data is provided under their respective licenses and we make no warranties regarding its accuracy or completeness.
10. Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, code, and features, is the intellectual property of Obelisk Agency. Product data displayed from third-party databases is provided under the Open Database License (ODbL) and respective API terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms and Conditions.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
